    This stock photo shows a monument in honour of the men who served the Royal Winnipeg Rifles - first erected in 1886 at the City Hall then moved to the current site in 1963 at the Manitoba Museum, City of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

    The weather worn stone monument is a tribute to the Royal Winnipeg Rifles.

    The statue shows a column with the top of the column its square base ornately detailed with scroll work and animal faces.

    Above the base of the column is a soldier stands proudly holding a rifle in front of him. His hands are wrapped around the barrel and butt of the rifle sits on the ground. He wears a cloak and a detailed headdress.
